Job description for Sales Representatives

The summary of this function is described as an achiever of sales volumes, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory, and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services. He or She personally contacts and secures new business accounts or customers.

a) Core functions:

  • Promotes, sells and secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  • Market our products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Achieve the set targets for the particular region together with his team.

b) Responsibilities:

1. Sell our products and ensure that we penetrate in the market thus increase our market share.
2.  Establish, develop and maintain business relationship with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
3. Make visits to the clients with a view of marketing our company products as a whole.
4. Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints to his/her supervisor with a view of providing a solution to the customer.
5. Ability to report orally and write reports on customer needs or problems, interests and competitive activities.
6. Monitor all competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends taking place in the region then report to the company.
7. Participates in trade shows and conventions of the company when called upon.

c) Qualifications:

 Possess a Degree with at least 1 year experience working in a service industry or
 A diploma in Sales and marketing with at least 2 years selling experience.
 Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
 Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
 Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
 Outgoing with the passion to sell in any environment

Research and Development Engineer

Job Description

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to come to Kenya and work on the ground with a Kenyan team improving the lives of people at the bottom of the pyramid! We can’t wait to welcome you to our company! This is a short term unpaid position.

As our company scales up we need to continuously assess and improve on our design and reliability to better meet the customers needs. This internship will be based mostly in the field to find areas of improvement and to understand the needs of the customers. You will make regular recommendations for improving our processes and technology which will be implemented in a continuous innovation cycle. The internship may include a trip to China to meet with our manufacturers to discuss possible improvements.

  • Assess needs of customers and what opportunities we are missing with our customer
  • Analyse our repair logs and determine a cost effective strategy for reducing repairs and customer complaints
  • Test system improvements
  • Implement system improvements by training staff and modifying operating procedures
  • Check technical accuracy of staff work.

Previous Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial design and minimum 3 years relevant experience.
  • Creative problem solver with strong technical and analytic skills.
  • Previous project management experience and product design experience a plus.

Technical Internship

Job Description

This is a unique internship opportunity to learn immmediately from a hands on job. We can’t wait to welcome you to our company! This is a short term internship position

In this role you will learn the following and may be considered for a full time position as a junior technician

  • Proper installation of biogas systems including assembling, setting up, feeding, piping and commissioning of the system,
  • Handling repairs of biogas systems as directed by the Operations Manager or as response to client calls.
  • Troubleshooting problems and faults in systems that fail to meet standards.
  • Carry out site visits to new clients

Previous Experience

  • A diploma from a technical institute or university
  • Creative problem solver with strong technical and analytic skills.
